Cleaning instructions for Pulastic mass floors

Flexible Pulastic floors are a seamless resin floor designed for multi-purpose use, supporting athletes in any sport. Correct methods and well-done daily cleaning maintain the flexible surface and other good properties of the floor for a long time. Initial, daily, and basic cleaning can all be done with the same cleaning detergent.

Pulastic sports floors serve for years after installation when cared for appropriately and regularly. An essential part of Pulastic maintenance is regular cleaning, for which you generally only need one product: Kiilto Pro Teho A 100 all-purpose cleaner. We recommend using machine methods for Pulastic floors whenever possible. When using a scrubber dryer or single disc machine for cleaning the flexible surface, pay attention to the machine’s motor power. For example, IPC CT 81 and IPC CT 51 are well suited for cleaning Pulastic floors.

Initial cleaning of Pulastic floors

Remove loose dirt by mopping or vacuuming. Apply Kiilto Pro Teho A 100 all-purpose cleaning solution, diluted at a rate of 5 ml per 1 litre of water, to a small area at a time, and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Clean the floor with a single disc machine or scrubber dryer using the indirect method and a orange-green or a red pad. Lastly, vacuum up the solution and then thoroughly rinse and dry the surface.

If there is a lot of construction dust on the floor, rinse the surfaces after floor cleaning with a solution of Kiilto Pro Kasperi, diluted at a rate of 1-2 ml per 1 litre of water. If you use a scrubber dryer to remove construction dust, choose a red pad. Vacuum up the solution and let the floor dry.

Daily cleaning of Pulastic floors

Select the cleaning method based on the level of dirt on the floor. Loose dirt can be removed with dry or damp methods. In daily cleaning, prefer to use a scrubber dryer and a red pad whenever possible. Dilute Kiilto Pro Teho A 100 cleaning solution at a rate of 1–4 ml / 1 litre of water. Remember to rinse and dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Stain removal from Pulastic surfaces

Remove individual stains promptly. For numerous, dried, or large-area stains, use a scrubber dryer with Kiilto Pro Teho A 100 solution, diluted at a rate of 20–40 ml / 1 litre of water.

Basic cleaning of Pulastic floors

Basic cleaning is performed always, when there is ingrained dirt on the floor that cannot be removed with daily cleaning. Embedded dirt makes the Pulastic floor surface slippery. Slipperiness indicates that the surface requires basic cleaning.

Apply Kiilto Pro Teho A 100 solution to the area to be cleaned, diluting it at a rate of 20-40 ml per 1 litre of water.
Allow it to sit for five minutes. Clean the floor with a single disc machine or scrubber dryer using the indirect method. Use a red pad. Lastly, vacuum up the solution and rinse the floor thoroughly, then allow it to dry.

With proper care, Pulastic is a long-lasting flooring material. If needed, the floor can be maintained through spot repairs or re-coating entirely.
