Suitable substrates are steel-trowelled concrete, plywood, chipboard, cork board and wooden floor. Substrate must be dry, solid, smooth and free from dust and other materials that might impair adhesion. Concrete subfloor can be levelled with a mosaic parquet subfloor levelling compound produced by Kiilto Oy, if needed.
Carry out work at normal room temperature and humidity. Allow parquet boards and adhesive to acclimatise to the normal room temperature and humidity. Apply the adhesive evenly with a notched trowel to an area that can be covered with parquet while the adhesive surface is still fresh. Press the parquet sheets onto the surface. Check that the back of the parquet is fully covered with adhesive. Leave a clearance of 10–15 mm between solid structures, e.g., wall and parquet. Sanding is recommended after 3–6 days at the earliest.
