Absorbent substrate 15-20 min. Note. Wet bonding! The amount of adhesive used, the substrate and prevailing conditions will all affect the working time considerably.
Carry out work at the usual prevailing room temperature. Both the wallpaper and paste should be allowed to reach this temperature. Follow the covering manufacturer's installation instructions. The surface must be dry, free from dust, clean, firm and sufficiently even. Use damp-proof plaster for smoothing in wet areas. Pre-treat highly absorbent substrates with a primer paint or with an adhesive. Use a damp-proof matt primer paint or an adhesive thinned 1:1 with water for priming. When hanging plastic coatings on non-absorbent substrates, we recommend using Kiilto M1000 ECO adhesive.
Lining paper and glass fibre wallpaper: spread the adhesive on the wall using a paint roller. Rub the wall covering on the wall properly to remove air blisters. Place the lengths to butt joint. Let dry for at least 24 hours prior to wallpapering or painting.
Plastic coverings: apply the adhesive with a paint roller or trowel either to the wall to an area of 1-3 lengths at a time, or to the back of the covering. Use the wet bonding method. Place the lengths either to the butt joint or make the joint on the wall using a knife. Remove fresh adhesive stains without delay with a damp cloth or sponge. Wash tools in lukewarm water.
