About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Brand and Portfolio to lead and guide our Marketing function in the Consumer Goods Business Area. In this role, you will oversee the Marketing function, including product information management, to drive profitable growth. You will set a clear strategic vision for the team, aligning their efforts with both the Business Area and Group strategy. Your leadership will be crucial in preparing and implementing strategic actions to achieve our targets.
In this role, you will lead and support Brand and Category Managers in developing market and category entry strategies, strategic planning, budgeting, pricing and individual development. Together with your team you take overall responsibility for NPD innovations and brand development. You guide and develop processes across the functions and have full P&L responsibility for the Marketing function. You will report to the Business Area Director, Consumer Goods.
You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including Group Management, Sales, Group Marketing, Brand and Communications, Supply Chain, RDI, and Professional Hygiene teams. Externally, you will engage with ad and media agencies, key accounts, consultant agencies, and various service providers.
To ensure the success of your professional team, your role is to create the best possible conditions for individuals through people-centric leadership. You will be part of the Consumer Goods Management Team, with your primary area of operation in Finland.
Qualifications, skills and experience
- Extensive experience in sales and marketing, with a proven track record of successful business leadership and strategic expertise within retail, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in guiding teams and delivering results with others.
- Deep and customer centric understanding on how to drive business growth (sales & profitability) in a dynamic and competitive market, a readiness to challenge the status quo and bring a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strategic decision making by using data to lead the business strategy.
- Experience and ability to create and deliver long-term business and brand strategies with a can-do attitude.
- Good social skills and interaction with stakeholders.
- Commercial degree (MBA, BBA) or degree in other relevant field.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Finnish and English.
